Emergency Shelter Services​

We understand that homelessness is not a situation that people choose, but a journey they find themselves on. Our mission is to be a partner on that journey to help move individuals out of homelessness and back into a place they can call home. For individuals experiencing homelessness, we have several programs that may provide assistance. In our emergency shelter programs, we focus on a low-barrier approach and assisting individuals in obtaining housing and providing them with the tools and supports to maintain their housing independence. Information regarding our two shelter programs is provided below.

✔️ Financial and renter’s education programs

✔️ Connections and linkages to essential health, support group, and social services

✔️ Housing and resource navigation services

✔️ Housing programs

✔️ Assistance obtaining I.D. cards and other documents

✔️ Connections to Social Security, SNAP, utility assistance, and transportation programs

✔️ Food and hygiene supplies provided

✔️ Washers and dryers

✔️ Wi-Fi and computer access

Criminal history does not automatically make an individual ineligible for shelter and will be reviewed at the point of intake.

Emergency shelter services are currently available for women and their children who are experiencing homelessness in Cambria County. The shelter takes a low-barrier approach for entry and provides a variety of services to help individuals obtain housing, employment, and other essential services to become independently housed.​​
